This banana split was invented for the weight loss program as we wanted to show that you can eat indulgent foods yet still lose weight. I wouldn’t suggest eating this every day, but it really is a luxurious and simple dessert for when you really need it.
Fat has long been the enemy but we actually need it for every cell in the body. This is where responsible fat sources come into play, check your labels and keep clear of trans fats or hydrogenated fats as these are the very bad ones. It something is naturally fatty – dairy products – go for full fat options as manufacturers will add sugar to low fat options.
2 handfuls of blueberries
1 small tub of double cream
- Empty the double cream into a bowl and whisk until thick
- Cut the banana into quarters and place two slices in each bowl. Top with a dollop of cream and scatter the blueberries and peach on top
