Bircher Muesli


This Bircher muesli is the perfect solution for that time of year when the weather is warming up and you’ve had a whole winter worth of porridge. It can be made in advance as you would overnight oats yet it also can just be left to stand for 15 minutes before serving.

We love versatilely here at ShoreBeing and this recipe is perfect for experimenting with, especially where toppings are concerned. Have a go at this super easy recipe and don’t forget to send in a picture of your creation!

Bircher Muesli 
Serves 4

150g oats
150ml almond milk (or milk of choice)
50ml filtered water
150g full fat natural yoghurt
1 apple, grated
50g raisins
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 lime, juiced
1 apple, sliced (or fruit of choice)

  1. Mix the oats, almond milk, vanilla extract, lime juice and filtered water and set aside for 15 minutes
  2. Add the yoghurt, grated apple, raisins and combine throughly
  3. Top with slices of fresh apple, I also added some leftover granola crumbs which added an exciting texture
