When it comes to healthy eating, we know breakfast can be the trickiest meal of the day to make changes – the first week of our Weight Loss Program is dedicated to supporting you through the tricky business of breakfast decisions!
I wanted to create a homemade cereal that was easy to make (this might possibly be one of the simplest recipes we have), whilst still being nourishing and delicious.
Try adapting this basic recipe to your preferred tastes, perhaps alternative toppings or additions to the cereal. I’d love to see your versions so send us a picture on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, we love hearing from you.
50g mixed seeds (I used pumpkin and sesame)
50g mixed nuts, chopped into large chunks
1-2 tbsp cacao nibs (optional)
Handful of mixed berries
Milk of your choice
- Mix the oats, seeds, nuts and cacao nibs (if using) thoroughly and store in a airtight container for up to 4 weeks. Serve a portion of the dry mixture with your favourite berries and milk or yoghurt – I particularly like almond milk with this.
